All websites have their own unique set of requirements yet for each project my carefully crafted step by step process remains the same. This ensures that every site achieves its objectives.
Process
All websites have their own unique set of requirements yet for each project my carefully crafted step by step process remains the same. This ensures that every site achieves its objectives.
1 Discovery
Exceptional website design starts by gathering information to understand the requirements of my customer.
We sit down, chat and I get to know your business, goals, audience, project parameters and desired outcomes.
2 Strategy
Using the information gathered during discovery, it is time to put together a plan for your web site. I produce the wireframes and sitemap identifying what items will be on each page and which pages will exist throughout the site.
This step is essential to developing a consistent, easy to understand navigational system and user interface.
Good planning ensures a site that is functional and enjoyable for your visitors to use.
3 Design
The next step is to create the visual designs, the look and feel of your site.
Choices about layout, type size and colour palettes are made at this stage to identify what works best in order to communicate your goals and match your taste.
4 Develop
Once the design is signed off it is put into development. I build the website with clean, semantic code that validates according to the W3C standards.
The site is then deployed to a staging environment where it is rigorously tested before handing to you for approval.
Depending on the scale of the project we may deliver the site in one go or in agreed increments.
5 Launch
The final stage is to put your brand new website live on the Internet. I will arrange domain name registration and hosting, then upload the site files. You're then ready to show off your fantastic website to the world.
I will give you training on using your CMS and will always be on hand to help you out along the way.
Let's create your website together!

I am currently working a four day week, however I can be flexible if a project requires it.
